This is a representation of an official document (made official by you,upon service) ordering the contractor and any support personnel he/she has (or they have) to cease working in your home and/or on your property, as it becomes safe to do so, within 30 minutes or less. Although it is in writing, it is also allowable when issued verbally. That is your prerogative. However, by actually issuing an “SWO,” in writing, you establish written evidence to that effect along with the reason(s).
It is strongly recommended that before a “Notice of Cancellation” document is used (as this is only a facsimile not intended for use as-is) that you consult an attorney to weigh in on the situation and to draw up any allowable documents. This can be used previous to using any anticipated "Notice of Cancellation” (NOC)."
